About Us
We are a brand new, family owned CrossFit box in Townsville, North Queensland, offering CrossFit, Strength and Conditioning and Weightlifting classes for beginners, through to elite athletes.

We offer a range of training options both in person and online.

CrossFit
CrossFit is a fitness program and training methodology that produces measurable outcomes through lifestyle changes, centered on training and nutrition.
At a Kinetic Performance CrossFit class you can expect daily workouts (WODs) that consist of constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements. These workouts will be coached by highly qualified and experienced coaches. You should come to this class with a growth mindset, ready to be coached and have a lot of fun.

Kinetic S&C
Strength and Conditioning is the practical application of sports science to produce stronger, fitter humans. This class is our very own, signature strength and conditioning offering, unique to our gym. Classes are programmed by Owner and Head Coach, Chris Aulbury. You can expect the best of both worlds in this class, a personal training experience mixed with the encouragement and fun of training with your community.

Olympic Weightlifting
We are a Queensland Weightlifting Association Certified Barbell Club, Kinetic Barbell Club.
Weightlifting, as opposed to 'weight lifting' or 'weight training', refers to the Olympic sport, which includes the clean and jerk and the snatch. Weightlifting develops strength (especially in the hips), speed and power like no other training modality. At Kinetic, we offer two dedicated weightlifting classes coached by our Australian Weightlifting certified coaches as well as weightlifting coaching within our CrossFit classes throughout the week.
We also offer competitive Weightlifting opportunities including qualifying events for state competitions.

Online Programming
For the out-of-towners, and those wishing to work on specific strength, fitness, sporting or skill goals.

Personal Training
For those wishing to work on specific strength, fitness, sporting or skill goals one-on-one.

Getting to know our Head Coach

After 9 years as an Infantryman, Chris turned his sights to his passion- health and fitness. Chris loves a challenge and is always seeking to learn more. Chris genuinely thrives on seeing people succeeding in their health, fitness and athletic goals.
Chris' qualifications include:
Master in Strength and Conditioning
CrossFit Level 3
Australian Weightlifting Level 2
Gymnastics Level 1
Bachelor of Psychological Science
Cert 3 & 4 in Fitness
